Bhavishya & Bill celebrated their marriage with a mix of Indian and American wedding traditions at beautiful Mill at Fine Creek in Powhatan, Virginia last weekend. Bhavishya started the day in a more formal maroon colored lehenga and then switched to a fun bright yellow and red one for the reception. Bill also wore two different sherwanis, a light pink and a bright yellow to perfectly match his bride! Inside of the historic ruins, a hindu ceremony was performed with several great traditions including the processions of both families, prayers, giving of the bride, commitment to each other with a necklace and red powder, worshipping the sacred fire, and taking the seven steps. Throughout the day we hit several picture perfect spots for their newlywed images including the unique creek bed this venue is known for. The day ended with a reception with happy toasts, a first dance, parent dances, and a fun bubble exit!
