Olivia and Mel first met at a coffee shop through friends and quickly discovered they had many common interests including their love for Zelda and the color blue! They also both love sushi and there were many dates to follow at sushi restaurants in the Roanoke area. While on a trip to Canada, Mel popped the question overlooking Lake Ontario. He put a beautiful ring inside a treasure chest on a hidden beach and while on a walk, Olivia spotted it and opened it to see what was inside. When she saw the ring and turned around, Mel was on one knee proposing! For their engagement session, we visited one of their favorite spots, the Hollins University campus, where they had a sweet sushi picnic. Olivia and Mel are beyond sweet together and I can’t wait for their wedding at Hotel Roanoke this fall!
